Claude Sonnet's Vision capability automatically recognizes headings, rows, columns, and merged cells and outputs a Markdown table. The result pastes directly into Excel, reducing data-entry time by 90%+.
Supported input formats
· **PDF**: extracts tables from the first page (split multi-page PDFs and upload page by page as needed) · **PNG / JPEG**: screenshots, photos, scanned images
File size limit: Free 20 MB / Light 100 MB / Premium 200 MB.
Output format
Output is Markdown table syntax, reusable in multiple ways:
· **Paste into Excel**: select the table → copy → Excel "Paste Special" → HTML format · **Paste into Notion**: paste directly — Notion auto-recognizes it as a database · **Share via Slack / GitHub**: Markdown-aware services render it automatically
Privacy
Uploaded PDFs and images are stored temporarily in AWS S3 (Tokyo region) and automatically deleted within one hour of extraction. Anthropic API transfers are TLS-encrypted and operated under a zero-data-retention contract (auto-deleted after 30 days).
